Willis Towers Watson appoints Ben MacCarthy as Head of Casualty Asia

Willis Towers Watson (WTW), a leading global advisory, broking and solutions company, today announces the appointment of Ben MacCarthy as Head of Casualty Asia for its Corporate Risk and Broking (CRB) business. Based in Hong Kong, Ben will report to Paul Ward, Head of Global Markets P&C in Asia at WTW. He will join the company on 1 December 2021.

 

Ben has over 15 years of experience in the property and casualty market, both in underwriting and broking. He brings with him extensive experience having previously held key roles in international insurance and broking companies. Most recently, he was Head of Customer and Distribution Management for the Commercial Insurance at Zurich Insurance Company in Hong Kong. Prior to that, Ben was the Head of Casualty for its commercial business in Hong Kong. Before joining Zurich Insurance, he had worked in Marsh Hong Kong and Australia for 10 years. Ben started his insurance career at Liberty International where he spent five years in the casualty affinity team in Brisbane, Australia.
