IUA Elects New Board Members

Three senior London Market figures have joined the Board of the International Underwriting Association (IUA), the organisation announced after its annual general meeting...

The new appointments are Claire McDonald, UK and Ireland Managing Director of HDI Global SE, Simon Williams, Chief Strategy and Distribution Officer at Arch Insurance International and Simon Wilson, Managing Executive – Global Strategy for Markel International Insurance Company Limited.

In addition, two existing Board members, co-opted since last year’s annual meeting, were confirmed in position. They are Nick Major, Managing Director UK Commercial Lines at Aviva and Louise Rose, Chief Executive Officer of TransRe London Limited.

Dave Matcham, Chief Executive of the IUA, said: “I am delighted to welcome our new Board members. It is essential that our Board reflects fully the breadth of talent across the London company market and these appointments will bring welcome new expertise to the management of our association.”
