Insurance 3.0, the InsurTech event gathering entrepreneurs, practitioners, investors and stakeholders in the insurance innovation sector, has announced its agenda for 2019. The event, organised by Market Minds, a global platform opening up the London insurance and emerging markets to innovation and technology, is set to be bigger and better than its inaugural year.

Taking place at One Moorgate Place, The Chartered Accountants Hall on October 3rd, Insurance 3.0 expects to see over 600 attendees with just over 100 speakers. This year’s speakers include Stephen Catlin, CEO of Convex, George Robson, Product Owner at Revolut and Duncan Kirkpatrick, Head of Customer Strategy, Lloyd’s Banking Group, along with C-Suite executives from some of the most exciting UK insurtechs such as Anorak, Slice, Cytora, Nimbla and Cuvva.

Market Minds will be implementing its 50:50 Women in Insurance initiative for its speakers, with diversity being an important topic for the event. The Lloyd’s Netball Club, the all-female networking and sports club will be hosting a drop-in session for those looking to learn more about the group and there will also be a workshop by Empowered Development, offering training to female insurance professionals.

“With insurtech set to be bigger than fintech in the UK, we are proud to be hosting some of the most forward-thinking insurance and technology companies in the market,” commented Sebastian de Zulueta, Founder and Director of Market Minds.

“Networking will be a big focus of Insurance 3.0 this year for us. We’re introducing targeted networking to encourage attendees and speakers who are spearheading change in the London insurance market from insurtech engagement to promoting diversity in the industry, to meet up and learn from each other,” he continued.

Other topics to be covered at the event include industry disruption, new business models and an InsurTech Q&A from the likes of Flock and Floodflash to close out the day. Additionally, this year will bring the return of the Pitching Parlour, providing the opportunity for up and coming insurtechs to pitch a room of potential investors and industry decision makers.

Insurance 3.0 will also see an interim ‘mini’ Africa 3.0 following the conference that took place in July 2019 in Nairobi. This section of the day will be hosted by the Department for International Trade and Market Minds consisting of pitches, panels and talks about sealing the insurance gap in emerging markets.
