Slipcase, the central news and thought leadership accumulator platform for the commercial & specialty (re)insurance industry has released a free to use mobile app for both Apple and Android devices...

Following a GBP1m investment from Everlution Software in 2015, Slipcase launched its first bespoke web platform in January 2016 and has seen exponential growth in its reach; In the 10 months to November 2016, the platform generated over 4.1m content impressions and 405,000 clicks from 38,000 individuals in the global (re)insurance hubs. The platform hosts pages for the industry’s top publications, and a growing panel of (re)insurers & brokers, as well as sourcing relevant articles from mainstream publishers.

'Paul Lawrence, Chief Underwriting Officer at Hiscox said: 'Slipcase has evolved into a highly targeted platform for us to reach relevant audiences with our latest news and thought leadership. The mobile app offers an additional channel for (re)insurance professionals to stay informed with content relevant to their specific roles, and we are actively encouraging employees to download and use it.'

Ex-Broker Alex Hearn, MD of Slipcase said ‘The growth we have seen on desktop and mobile optimised is very exciting, but the key message we have taken from our userbase is the need for a mobile app. Now, the personalised features and categorised functionality of the Slipcase desktop platform are available on a slick, simple and user friendly mobile app. Whatever your role in the industry, the app enables you to stay informed with relevant news and content on the way to your office, at your desk, when preparing for a meeting or carrying out research.’

Everlution CEO & Slipcase CTO Sam Rickett said: ‘After significant research & testing with Broker and Insurer users, the Slipcase mobile app has been built as a simple, yet innovative way of sourcing relevant news and articles to individuals within the industry’.

In May this year, Slipcase hired digital media lead James Richards from The Telegraph. Richards added: ‘Slipcase has embraced a trend that is second nature in our social lives yet only just emerging in our business lives; relevant news and content from across the web, based on personal preferences.'

The mobile app can be downloaded on the Apple Appstore, as well as the Google Play site for Android devices:
