Gallagher Re in Japan has recently made two significant senior leadership appointments, further strengthening their presence in this key territory. George Sherriff has been announced as the new CEO, while Tsuyoshi “Travis” Noguchi has been appointed chairman.
George Sherriff, who already holds a prominent position within the Japan senior management team, has been instrumental in supporting the strategic direction of Gallagher Re's Japanese business for some 13 years. Currently leading the Global Client proposition across Asia Pacific from Singapore, Sherriff will continue to provide oversight to this offering after transitioning into the role of CEO.
Mark Morley, Head of Asia Pacific at Gallagher Re, commented: "George's expertise and experience in the region makes him the ideal candidate for this role. His contributions to the strategic direction of our Japanese business have been invaluable, and we are excited to see him take on this new leadership position."
“Travis Noguchi will move into the role of Chairman. He has led the evolution of our Tokyo and Japan business over the past 10 years, significantly growing our footprint across the market. In his new role, he will work closely with George and continue to expand and support Gallagher Re’s relationship with all our Japanese clients on a global basis. I’d like to thank Travis for his significant contributions and leadership in shaping and scaling our Japanese operation to what it is today,” Morley added.
Both Sherriff and Noguchi will assume their new positions on 1st July, marking an exciting new chapter for Gallagher Re in Japan. With their combined expertise and leadership, the company is well-positioned to continue its growth and success in Japan, further solidifying its reputation as a trusted partner in the Japanese reinsurance market.
