Andrew King and Richard Keegan enhance financial loss and business interruption expertise in Crawford Forensic Accountancy Services...

Crawford & Company has announced the appointment of Andrew King as head of Crawford Forensic Accounting Services (CFAS) and Richard Keegan as executive general adjuster and Senior Forensic Accountant.

These appointments form part of Crawford’s ongoing efforts to attract leading industry talent into its ranks as it builds on the success achieved to date in developing its financial loss capabilities.

King has worked in the insurance profession for 37 years beginning his career with Thomas Howell Group and has worked in senior roles for PwC, Marsh and Aon, as well as previously at Crawford. In 2005, he was appointed president of the Chartered Institute of Loss Adjusters and has also chaired the CILA Examinations Committee, as well as having been a business interruption examiner.

Keegan has worked in the profession for 25 years and has built up a first-class market reputation for managing financial lines claims, including business interruption, fidelity guarantee and major stock losses. Most recently, he worked at Sedgwick International UK and has also worked at McLarens and Cunningham Lindsey.

Both are dual qualified accountants and chartered loss adjusters.

Commenting on the appointments, Alister Jupp, head of Crawford Global Technical Services®, UK, said: “Andrew and Richard are both exceptionally talented practitioners that bring extensive critical adjusting knowledge to their new roles to help us deliver on our mission to restore and enhance lives, businesses and communities. As companies currently seek to address the myriad of challenges and pressures created by COVID-19, having access to the financial loss and business interruption expertise that they offer is vital. Their combined knowledge and level of experience will prove incredibly valuable to our clients during this extremely volatile period.”

King added: “I am delighted to be back at Crawford & Company and in particular leading the CFAS team in the UK. Crawford was the first adjusting company to develop an in-house forensic accounting capability and the success of this pioneering step is clearly evident in both the scale and scope of services that the team now provides in the UK and around the world. It is highly motivating to be part of a company in which the senior leadership team is fully committed to its ongoing expansion. Richard and I look forward to working with our colleagues to help further enhance the level of service provided by CFAS, particularly at this challenging time for us all.”
