CNA Financial Corporation has announced first quarter 2019 net income of $342 million, or $1.25 per share, and core income of $318 million, or $1.17 per share. Property & Casualty Operations combined ratio for the first quarter was 97.8% and the underlying combined ratio was 94.9%. Net investment income, after tax, was $465 million for the first quarter of 2019, including $96 million from limited partnership and common stock investments.
