Aon plc has announced the hire of Charlie Garrood as Head of Infrastructure M&A for EMEA to expand and deepen Aon’s M&A and Transaction Solutions capability for Infrastructure...

Garrood joins Aon from PWC and brings 16 years of sector experience across energy, transport, communications and social infrastructure. At PWC he worked in corporate finance advising clients on M&A and debt financing and also has significant valuation and deals strategy expertise.


Infrastructure investors face unique challenges when executing M&A processes in a highly competitive marketplace. In addition to helping clients secure investments through understanding and addressing risks across the insurance, human capital, cyber and intellectual property due diligence functions, Aon’s M&A and Transactions Solutions team is focused on assisting vendors and acquirers enhance returns by structuring deal specific solutions and accessing insurance capital to realise and unlock upsides. Charlie’s strong sector capability will enable the team to more effectively provide clients with a competitive edge when preparing for and executing deals.
